On July 3th, Guangzhou saw a new silver energy vehicle out of its production line, marking the production of its kind in China up to 20 million.
China"s new-energy vehicle (NEV) industry has witnessed an unprecedented pace of progress and an exceptional level of quality, as evidenced by its cumulative production of more than 5 million vehicles in September 2020, surpassing 10 million in February 2022, and now exceeding 20 million in July 2023. This remarkable achievement is particularly noteworthy considering that it took a mere 28 years to reach this new milestone since the country"s first new energy vehicle made its debut in 1995.

The production of this new silver energy vehicle in Guangzhou was not a happenstance. The latest figures from the National Bureau of Statistics and the Guangdong Statistics Bureau reveal that the NEV production in Guangdong Province surged by 111% year on year with an accumulating output of 810,000 vehicles, representing 28.59% of the national level from January to May of 2023. In other words, one out of every four NEVs manufactured in China is made in Guangdong. All the above indicates that Guangdong has emerged as one of the largest producers and markets of NEVs in China.
Data from the China Passenger Car Association shows that the NEV proportion priced above 400,000 yuan in China"s domestic market has increased from 1.2% in 2017 to 3.4% in 2023. In the price bracket ranging from 200,000 yuan to 300,000 yuan, this figure has soared from 8.5% to an impressive 17.5%.
These trends imply that the mainstream Chinese brands of new energy vehicles are growing from strength to strength as their NEV models have made significant breakthroughs in the high-end market, where they have emerged as a major force.
In short, the production of this momentous new silver energy vehicle in Guangdong serves as a signal to reinforce China"s new role as the foremost producer, vendor, and exporter of new energy vehicles worldwide, as well as its leading role in the transition and advancement of the automobile industry towards electrification and intelligence.
中国新能源汽车生产量达到2000万辆
7月3日,一辆银色的新能源汽车在广州驶下生产线,这是中国第2000万辆新能源汽车。
从2020年9月累计产量突破500万辆,到2022年2月突破1000万辆,再到今年7月超2000万辆,中国新能源汽车产业发展速度之快、质量之高世界罕见。1995年,中国第一辆新能源汽车下线,仅用了28年的时间,中国新能源汽车就迎来了2000万辆的新里程碑。
中国第2000万辆新能源车在广州下线并非一个巧合。数据显示,广东是全国最大的新能源汽车生产基地和消费市场之一。
据国家统计局和广东统计局最新数据,今年1—5月,广东省新能源汽车产量同比增长111%,累计产量达81万辆,占比全国总产量进一步攀升,达到了28.59%。也就是说,中国每生产4辆新能源汽车中,便有1辆为“广东造”。
来自乘联会的数据显示,中国国内40万元以上新车消费的新能源汽车销量占比,已经从2017年的1.2%提升至2023年的3.4%,在20万元-30万元区间,这一数据则从8.5%提升至17.5%。
种种迹象表明,主流中国品牌新能源汽车表现正在逐渐走强,中国品牌车型在高端市场突破明显,已成为高端新能源车市场的主要力量。
